The following ontarioracewalkers.ca website privacy statement has been adopted from policies on the websites of Athletics Canada (AO) and Ontario Masters Athletics (OMA).
Note the following key points:
- Your name will not be used for commercial marketing purposes unless authorized
- Your name, gender, age and picture may be displayed if you participate in Ontario Racewalkers (ORW) or sanctioned events
- Your name may be displayed on the website for race results
- Your name and associated information may be given to provincial, national and international track and field organizations
- Your name and picture may be tagged in social media posts such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat
- Your name and other required information will be given to the OMA for membership purposes
- The IP address of those visiting the ORW website may be tracked

The thirteen privacy principles of ORW, OMA and AO comply with the provisions of Canada`s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Although these three organizations are not directly subject to the Act, the legislation establishes best practices widely observed in the business and service communities. The thirteen principles are:
